Clubhouse Information
Our aim is to preserve Lenzie as a golf club with a top quality course and clubhouse to offer the best to our members that we can. As a club we believe that we should never cheapen what we offer and we aim to provide excellent facilities and service for our members.
Our Clubhouse has at its heart an old Victorian sandstone villa. It has been extensively re-developed over the later part of the 20th century to expand the facilities that are available for members, guests, and visitors. Our locker rooms were purpose built and have recently been extensively upgraded to give members up to date large lockers that can accommodate a modern cart bag.
The main areas for members and guests to eat and drink are the bar area, lounge, and restaurant. The lounge area and restaurant have views overlooking the course and this can add to your enjoyment as you relax after your round. The lounge and restaurant can be combined for large events and celebrations and is used regularly by members and their guests for celebrations. We also have a large room at the front of the building that can accommodate smaller events and parties. The “front room” is part of the original Victorian villa and has all the design features you would expect from a classic sandstone building including original ornate cornicing. This room can accommodate small dining parties and is also extensively used by community groups for meetings.
We have a dynamic plan to maintain and upgrade our clubhouse to a high standard and we keep this under constant review.
We want to encourage members and guests to enjoy their visits to our club so we operate a fairly relaxed dress code. Smart casual is what is expected.
The club runs a regular programme of social events. We offer a mix of entertainers, comedy nights, quiz nights and tasting nights in the restaurant. They have all proved popular with our members and we try to keep a varied programme on offer to members so that the programme always offers something new.
We believe that communication with members is important. Consequently we issue our regular electronic newsletter “Alma Matters” named after our signature hole. This keeps members informed about all that is happening in the club and keeps members up to speed with social as well as competition information.
